Today We:
- Had Music.
- Read our class novel The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan.
- Worked on the good copies of our First Nations storyboards.
- Began our next Science Unit – Plants and Plant Growth. We watched a few short videos about the variety of ways in which human beings use plants. We brainstormed together as a class, and each student created a page in thier sketchbook to record their knowledge and understanding of how we use plants in various ways.
- Began our new topic in Social Studies – Alberta Settlers. Students explored an interactive website called “Letters From The Trunk,” which uses actual artifacts (pictures, letters, videos, etc…) to portray and explain the lives and stories of various Alberta immigrants and settlers.
- Played Yoshi in Gym.
