Today We:
- Had a presentation from Elder and Knowledge Keeper Ms. Shirley Hill. We were given the opportunity to hold and touch various first nations artifacts, listen to stories, wear traditional clothes, ask questions, as well as participate in Blackfoot dancing. Students please tell your parents what you learned during this morning’s assembly.
- Read “Hoot” by Carl Hiaasen.
- Brainstormed our Elder visit from Ms. Shirley Hill as a class. We organized the information into what we learned and liked about her visit with us this morning.
- Used our group brainstorm to write paragraphs and create sketchbook pages in our visual journals.
- Went outside at the end of the day for Gym.
