Please practice your multiplication tables up to 10X10 every night for at least 10 minutes. You can play card and dice games, use online games, or quiz your family, etc…
Gymnastics – We have begun our Gymnastics unit.
- Students with long hair need a hair tie
- Girls, please remember to wear leggings under your skirts/dresses
- Everyone is to participate in bare feet, or appropriate running shoes.
Today We
- Participated in weekly goal setting activities.
- Had Monday Morning Meeting.
- Wrote detailed journal entries.
- Read our class novel Hoot.
- Started 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication using the algorithm. We discussed what arrays are (pictures of multiplication sentences) and worked through numerous 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication questions as a group. To end the lesson students attempted to solve four 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication questions independently in their notebooks.
- Got together with the other Grade 4 classes to work on our Mindstorms projects. Today was our last day to program. Tomorrow we will be taking our robots apart, and inventorying our kits.
- Started gymnastics in Gym. We began with mat activities that involve balancing on 1, 2, 3, and 4 body parts, levels (high, medium, low), and different types of movement such as skipping, jumping, hopping, rolling, crawling, etc…
