No school Monday due to a PD day.
Light and Shadow Interviews next week. We have finished up our latest Science unit, Light and Shadows, and Ms. England will now conduct one-on-one interviews with each student next week. Each student will be asked any 4 of the following 8 questions at random:
- What is the colour spectrum?
- Why do we see yellow when we look at a banana?
- Give an example of a cool colour and explain why.
- Give an example of a warm colour and explain why.
- Provide 3 examples of how we can protect our eyes and keep them healthy.
- Explain what reflect and absorb mean.
- Provide 3 examples of optical devices and how/why we use them.
- Explain how and why shadows change throughout the day.
Today We:
- Had Music.
- Read our class novel The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan.
- Watched Treffrey Deerfoot and the River Cree Singers perform The Buffalo Dance. http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/sssi06/html/rivercreesingers1.html
- Played 3 on 3 basketball games in Gym.
- Practiced our Math skills on Number Rumble as well as various websites provided by Ms. England.
- Watch The Magic School Bus Makes a Rainbow episode while we ate lunch.
- Had finish up time for students to complete various projects that will be shared during upcoming conferences.
- Worked in small groups with Miss Du to create a collograph print for an upcoming project.
