Today We:
- Had Music.
- Brainstormed ideas for our Alberta alphabet, individually and with the other Grade Four classes.
- Read our new class novel “Hoot” by Carl Hiaasen.
- Went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather in Gym.
- Worked on our 4th Author Study books.
- Practiced our 3-digit subtraction skills by playing the game “What’s the Difference?” Students are to explain and demonstrate how to play this game as part of their homework tonight.
- Had our first session with Mme. Bergerman in the Idea Lab. Students were guided through the inventing process. They were given a partner and asked to design a tool or device to solve a problem for their partner. They interviewed their partners, drew a prototype, and began building in their prototypes in the Idea Lab. Some devices were feet warmers, special hats and goggles, smell filters, tape sticks, etc…
