“I liked playing Cheyenne kick ball outside today because it was a fun, competitive trace.”
“I liked gluing things into our sketchbooks because I got to look at some work that I did throughout the year.”
“I liked Gym because we played First Nations games and they were better than I thought they would be.”
Question: What is one fact about you as a learner that you included in your letter to your Grade 4 teacher today?
- Set new personal goals for the last full week of school. Students please tell your parents what your goal is this week.
- Began writing rough copy letters to our Grade 4 Teachers. Together we brainstormed what should be included in our letters. We decided on two paragraphs; one paragraph about who we are as people (what we like and our favourite things), and one paragraphs about who we are as learners (what tools we use, what things we are strong at or find tricky, etc…)
- Continued reading our class read aloud The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan.
- Glued many pieces of work into our sketchbooks.
- Played A Northern Cheyenne Kick Ball Game (Similar to a soccer drill), Dox-En-Eye, and Animal Tag in Gym to prepare for Aboriginal Sport’s Day this Friday. Students please explain how to play these games to your parents.
- Used lap top computers and teacher provided websites to explore and learn about lifecycles. Students please tell your parents what sites you explored today, what activities and games you played, and what you learned today.
