Spring Photo Day - Wednesday April 20, 2016.
Today We:
- Participated in weekly goal setting activities.
- Had silent reading time.
- Had Monday Morning Meeting where we shared artifacts, or talked about our weekends.
- Wrote detailed journal entries.
- Read our class novel The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan.
- Read a few First Nations legends.
- Worked on solving various word problems that involve the movement of time. Some students have taken this home for homework.
- Typed our clues to accompany our silhouettes.
- Worked on our legend storyboards. After a one-on-one conference with Ms. England students returned to their storyboards to add detail and description to their plans by adding subject specific vocabulary, as well as strengthening connections between characters, events, and ideas.
- Worked on our Math skills on Number Rumble.
- Had extra time in Gym today and played 3 on 3 basketball games.
Student Quotes:
“I liked Number Rumble because I got 3 stars on one of the courses.”
“I liked Gym because we played basketball games.”
“I liked Gym because it was extra long.”
“I liked Math because we did time.”
“I liked Gym because we got some free time at the end.”
