Andrew Larson (today’s visiting author) Hockey Card and Postcard going home with every student.
Today We:
- Began creating Children’s Rights pages in our sketchbooks. Students were asked to use their knowledge and understanding from previous stories, and discussions to chose 8 rights of the child that they think are the most important and record them in their sketchbooks.
- Had Music.
- Finished reading Tua and the Elephant. We discussed how Pohn-Pohn’s quality of life changed from the beginning of the story to the end of the story.
- Were treated to an engaging Division I Author presentation by Andrew Larson. He talked to us about how all of us are storytellers, and how we can all be authors. He performed a magic trick with a light bulb, and read us two of his books, “The Man Who Loved Libraries” and “Goodnight Hockey Fans.”
